Fighting with fast-drying liquid lash adhesives is one of the most frustrating parts of a lamination service. By the time you sweep the natural lashes onto the shield, traditional PVA glues have already formed a hard, crusty barrier. This forces you to rush your isolation work, prevents you from easily correcting crossed hairs, and creates a thick film that your perming lotions have to struggle through, often resulting in uneven processing and dehydrated cuticles.
The Zola Lami Balm is a flexible, wax-like lash adhesive designed to secure natural lashes to the silicone shield while remaining completely malleable throughout the entire lifting process.
Unlike standard liquid glues that set like cement, this balm features a buttery, hydrating viscosity. It grips the lashes instantly to provide excellent tension, but it never fully dries down. This gives you unlimited "play time" to perfectly isolate every single hair. Because the formula acts as a soft lipid layer rather than a hard plastic barrier, your lifting lotions can penetrate the hair cortex smoothly and evenly.
It is an absolute must-have consumable for advanced lash artists. Plus, it pairs perfectly with the wider Zola Professional range to actively moisturise the hair while chemical processing occurs.
Enhance your client's sensory experience with our two lightly fragranced options (both offer the same strong hold):
When switching from a liquid glue to the Zola Lami Balm, you must adjust your Step 1 processing time. Traditional glues require fast, strong lotions to eat through the crusty barrier. Because this balm is oil-based and softens the hair (rather than shielding it), your perming lotions will penetrate the cuticle much faster. Always check the lash flexibility 1-2 minutes earlier than your standard protocol to avoid over-processing.
Using a firm, flat brush, scoop a small amount of balm from the tin. Swipe it upward over the silicone shield, pressing the natural lashes into the balm. Use your lash tool or a Y-comb to separate and align the hairs perfectly. Proceed immediately with your Step 1 lotion.
