Frequently Asked Questions About Salon Electrical Equipment
Find answers to common questions below.
Most treatment rooms use a towel warmer, a facial steamer and good task lighting. Depending on your services, you might add a stone heater for massage, a wood lamp for skin analysis or a high frequency machine.
Both keep towels warm and ready between clients. A UV hot towel cabinet also includes a UV light, while compact warmers like the Joiken mini hot towel steamer suit smaller rooms and tighter budgets.
Ozone steamers are a popular choice for oily and congested skin, while standard steamers suit more sensitive clients. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions and your training.
A stone heater keeps massage stones at a steady temperature, ready for hot stone treatments. The Joiken 6 quart heater pairs well with our Joiken massage stone set.
Most plug in equipment like steamers, warmers and lamps only needs a standard power point. Wall mounted or hardwired items, such as some lights and wall dryers, should be installed by a licensed electrician.
Follow the care guide for each unit, empty and dry water tanks at the end of the day, and keep vents and cords clear. Regular cleaning keeps your equipment working well and looking professional.
