Struggling with cool-toned mucosal tissue pulling your vibrant reds into muddy purples? Managing unpredictable dermal healing on complex lip canvases extends treatment times, causes frustrating touch-ups, and ultimately costs your clinic client trust.
The Perma Blend Lady Bug is a professional-grade PMU lip pigment specifically engineered to deliver a vibrant, red-based orange hue with predictable medium opacity. Formulated for maximum colour concentration, this low-viscosity liquid suspension guarantees stable dermal implantation, effectively countering natural cool undertones and ensuring true-to-tone polymerisation across diverse lip tissue profiles.
Expanding your clinic's colour theory capabilities ensures every client leaves with flawless retention. Pair this vibrant staple with our extensive range of Perma Blend PMU Pigments, or diversify your trolley with the curated formulations of Tina Davies PMU Pigments and Monica Ivani PMU Pigments. Always protocol strict PMU aftercare to protect your healed results.
Always agitate the 15ml bottle vigorously for a minimum of 60 seconds prior to decanting to ensure the red-orange pigment load is fully homogenised. CRITICAL: Do not dilute this pigment with water, saline, or witch hazel, as it will permanently fracture the chemical binder and carrier fluid ratio. To drop the opacity for a sheer blush technique, adjust the viscosity exclusively with Perma Blend Thin or Thick Shading Solutions. Keep bottles tightly sealed in a temperature-controlled space away from UV light to maximise the 12-month opened shelf life.
Lady Bug is a workhorse in my clinic when a client asks for a classic bright red, but presents with slightly cool or pale lips. The orange base provides that necessary built-in warmth, stopping the red from healing pinkish-blue. It wipes incredibly clean off the skin with standard green soap foam. Post-procedure, strict PMU aftercare is essential. Instruct clients to blot lymph fluid with a damp sterile wipe hourly on day one, followed by a rice-grain application of a breathable tattoo aftercare balm to prevent scabbing and colour drop-out.
While the red-orange base provides excellent warmth, Lady Bug is a target colour with medium opacity, not a pure concentrated neutraliser. For deeply melanin-rich lips with strong purple/blue undertones, applying this directly will not offer enough coverage. You must execute a dedicated neutralisation pass using a high-density, titanium-free orange or golden modifier first, allowing the tissue to heal neutrally before using Lady Bug as the final target colour.
To reduce the medium opacity for a sheer, watercolour-style finish, you must use a professional diluent like Perma Blend Thinning or Shading Solution. Adding distilled water or saline will disrupt the pigment's chemical suspension, leading to poor dermal retention, rapid fading, and patchy healed results over the subsequent 12 months.
High-quality pigment formulations can naturally begin to separate from their carrier fluids during longer lip blush procedures (exceeding 60-90 minutes). Always shake the bottle vigorously for a full minute before your initial pour, and use a sterile micro-brush to gently stir the pigment ring periodically throughout the treatment. This maintains a homogeneous viscosity and prevents uneven dermal implantation.
