Struggling to achieve crisp, narrow hair strokes on clients with thick, sebaceous skin or dense natural brow patterns? Standard flexible blades often bounce off tough dermal tissue, resulting in shallow pigment implantation, blurry healed results, and frustrated clients requiring excessive touch-ups.

The Tina Davies 9 Classic Microblade is a professional-grade manual hair stroke tool specifically engineered to penetrate resilient skin types with surgical precision. Featuring 9 surgical-grade 316 stainless steel pins configured at a sharp 0.25mm gauge within a hard stainless steel wrapper, this rigid microblade guarantees maximum tensile strength, allowing you to execute hyper-detailed, slim hair strokes with unparalleled tactile control.

Rigid Implantation & Clinical Precision

  • 0.25mm Sharpness: The 0.25mm needle gauge provides a slightly thicker, more robust pin that easily pierces tough, oily, or Fitzpatrick 4-5 skin without bending or snagging.
  • Hard Stainless Steel Casing: Unlike flexible wrappers, the rigid stainless steel needle casing eliminates bounce. This transfers 100% of your hand pressure directly to the epidermis for immediate, clean tissue entry.
  • 9-Pin Pointed Profile: The compact, pointed 9-pin configuration allows for extreme manoeuvrability. It is perfect for detailing short, fine strokes in the bulb of the brow or navigating tight curves along the arch.
  • Complete Procedural Setup: Each EO gas-sterilised blister pack includes the disposable microblade and a protective cap, streamlining your clinic setup and ensuring flawless cross-contamination protocols.

Delivering high-retention hair strokes on difficult skin canvases requires premium manual tools and chemically stable inks. Pair this 0.25mm microblade with the highly concentrated formulations of Tina Davies, or diversify your pigment library with the reliable healing profiles of Monica Ivani and Perma Blend.

Clinical Protocol & Tactile Execution

To execute a flawless stroke on thick skin, establish a rigorous 3-point stretch to flatten the tissue completely. The hard stainless steel wrapper of the 9 Classic Microblade provides zero give, meaning your depth control must be highly intentional. Angle the blade at 90 degrees to the skin surface for maximum penetration, dipping only the tips of the 0.25mm pins into your pigment. You will feel a distinct "velcro" sensation as the rigid needles cleanly slice the upper papillary dermis. Dispose of the entire unit in a certified sharps container post-procedure.

Luna’s Bench Protocol & PMU Aftercare

This rigid 9-pin microblade is my absolute non-negotiable tool for male brows, thick Fitzpatrick 4-5 skin, or clients with extremely oily T-zones. Because the 0.25mm gauge and hard wrapper deliver robust, deep implantation, you avoid the "bouncing" effect that causes blurry blowouts with flexible blades. Since this blade creates a slightly wider micro-wound for better pigment retention on tough skin, proper healing is critical. Instruct clients to avoid excessive moisture and apply a minimal, rice-grain amount of PMU Aftercare to protect the dermal barrier while the crisp strokes lock in.

Technical FAQ: Execution, Depth Control & Troubleshooting

Why use a hard stainless steel wrapper instead of a flexible plastic casing? ▼

Flexible wrappers act as shock absorbers, which is excellent for thin or mature skin but causes the blade to physically bounce off thick, oily skin, leading to shallow, ashy retention. The hard stainless steel casing on the Tina Davies 9 Classic provides zero give, ensuring clean, immediate penetration on highly resilient canvases.

What skin types are best suited for the 0.25mm needle gauge? ▼

The 0.25mm gauge is slightly thicker and possesses much higher tensile strength than ultra-fine 0.18mm nano blades. This structural integrity makes it the superior choice for thick, sebaceous, or sun-damaged skin, where finer needles might bend, snag, or fail to implant pigment deeply enough into the papillary dermis.

Is the 9-pin pointed profile better than a U-blade for microblading? ▼

It depends on your procedural goals. The compact 9-pin pointed profile is explicitly designed for short, highly detailed hair strokes and tight manoeuvrability in small spaces (like the inner bulb or tail). Conversely, a U-blade is generally preferred for sweeping, long, curved strokes across the main body of the brow.
