Step 2 restores disulfide bonds, so it is important to fix the hairs the way you want to see them as the final result.

How often can this process be performed?

Once every 1.5 - 2 months

Why is it necessary to apply the already oxidised tint after eyebrow lamination (5-7 minutes after preparing the tinting mixture)?

Because some of the tint molecules are already too large after polymerization and cannot enter the cortex through the hair cuticle.

What is the active ingredient of Step 1?

Cysteamine hydrochloride remodels disulfide bonds carefully and makes the hairs more manageable.

Why should the eyebrow shaping be performed after the lamination procedure?

The first solution is highly alkaline and when it gets into the wounds, that remain after the brow shaping, it can cause discomfort and redness Moreover, it is better to remove the hairs after, as later we can comb them when making the shape.

Why is it not allowed to scrub the eyebrows before a brow lamination procedure?

Step 1 is highly alkaline and Step 2 is acidic. Scrubbing will damage the skin so when you apply the solutions after scrubbing, it can cause irritation, inflammation or burns.

Why does it burn/tingle?

When Step 1 is applied on the sensitive skin, a burning sensation may occur as it is highly alkaline. When Step 2 is applied on the sensitive skin, a tingling sensation may occur due to the acidic pH of the solution.

Is it necessary to style the hairs with the gel after lamination?

Yes, it is. We have softened and changed the direction of the hairs but they still remain movable. 

How to work with a very sensitive skin (active redness)?

Before applying each solution, apply a thick layer of argan oil on the entire brow area to protect the skin from any potential chemical influence whilst the hairs still absorb the solution.

Why don't we apply an oil at the end of the procedure?

So you don't weigh down the hairs. Use zelan Colour Fix instead of an oil.

Why does the hair lighten after applying Step 1?

Because pheomelanin is partially destroyed hence why the hairs look lighter.

Why does Step 2 need to be rinse off with Elan Detox-Mousse?

For full effect of the solution and to achieve a high-quality eyebrow tinting.

Why are the care components in Brow FixUp Step 1 and not in Step 2?

Because Step 1 has an alkaline pH (for the opening of the cuticle scales) therefore the complex of care components can enter the hair structure. Whereas Step 2 has an acidic pH therefore the cuticle scales are closed and the care components are not able to enter into the hair structure.

Is it necessary to cover the eyebrows with foil?

Eyebrows should be covered wit a special plastic film to give a boost to the procedure result. With the help of a plastic film, the temperature rises and the process of the solution on the hairs accelerates.

Why is it necessary to rinse off Step 1 with water?

To stop the chemical reaction of the solution completely and to prevent mixing of the solutions with each other.
