Brow Goals Made Easy: How Bronsun Brow Dye Can Elevate Your Beauty Routine
Elevate your brow services with Bronsun Brow and Lash Gel Dyes. Some of the reasons why we love Bronsun Dyes are because they give a fantastic long-lasting stain for up to 7-10 days on the skin and up to 7 weeks on hair. They are a great alternative for those who are allergic to henna, it has a relatively quick processing time (7-15 min) and they can be used after brow lamination and lash lifts. The Bronsun Brow and Lash Gel Dyes provide a long-lasting stain making them a fantastic choice for those looking for durability.
Consider the following points when using Bronsun Gel Dyes:
- Applying Bronsun tints requires a precise technique.
- The shades have a green colour base and this needs to be taken into consideration when choosing a shade for your client. The desired result will depend on the skin tone as well as the chosen colour mix.
- Brown shades can throw a green tinge hence a basic knowledge of colour theory is required.
- Color shades may differ between tubes based on the manufacturing date, so it is advisable to do color swatches on your arm when opening a new tube.
- The Gel Dyes lack caring components like argan oil, keratin, or vitamins, resulting in a less silky finish for brow and lash hairs. This is crucial to note as some clients may find the product slightly drying.
- Using this product on clients with dry skin can be challenging due to its drying nature, which may result in patchy outcomes.
Maximize the Longevity of Your Skin Stains with Proper Preparation
One of the key tips to ensuring a long-lasting stain on skin is preparation but you first have to do a skin assessment to determine if your client's skin is normal (pH 4.7-5.7), dry (pH <4.7) or oily (pH 5.7-7) as this will depend on how to prepare the skin prior to a brow tinting or lamination. This will help determine the appropriate preparation steps for brow tinting or lamination.
Normal Skin:
For normal skin, a rule of thumb is not to over-prepare the skin and use fewer products. Sometimes a simple professional clean and makeup remover is enough.
Tip: If you want a bolder stain, you could use a primer as a second step. They are designed to degrease the skin prior to tinting or a lamination treatment. If your
Dry Skin:
For dry skin, the intensity of the stain will be deeper as this skin type produces less sebum (compared to normal skin) and lacks the lipids (oils) in the skin therefore the processing time will be less than those with normal or oily skin. To prepare this skin properly, avoid using products that contain alcohol or primers as these would make the skin even drier.
This type of skin needs deep moisturising so consider using an enzyme product (or any other gentle professional non-abrasive scrub). This helps to remove the dead skin cells making the skin smooth for a deeper stain.
Tip: If you are using a scrub, just leave the scrub on the eyebrows, cover them with a film, leave it on for a minute (don't rub it!) and gently remove it with a damp cotton pad (you can also use Bronsun Saline Solution to remove any residues)
Oily Skin:
For oily skin, the dye stain will fade faster than normal skin. Inform clients with oily skin that the stain won't last as long to set realistic expectations. To properly prepare this skin, use an acidic product to reduce the pH level to 5.5.
Start with a gentle, neutral brow shampoo to remove any makeup using a mascara wand and clean with a circular motion (then remove with a wet cotton pad)
You can use a scrub but do not leave it on as you would on dry skin. Just simply cleanse the area using a circular motion.
Regardless of the skin type, you will always need to remove all makeup residues (even if your client is not wearing any makeup), clean any dirt and prepare the skin. Don't use any oily makeup remover as this can produce a protective film on the skin and the dye won't penetrate the skin. Consider using a brow shampoo or mousse.
