Beauty Therapist added to Australian Apprenticeship Priority List!
The Australian government has added 39 occupations to the Apprenticeship Priority List including Beauty Therapist (451111)! These are fantastic news and a game changer for our industry!
What does it mean for you?
💗 If you want to start your career in the Beauty Industry, it means that apprentices can receive up to $5,000 over 2 years!
💗 If you are a beauty employer, it means that you will have the reassurance that your staff are trained properly, you will have more flexibility in how you want your staff to be trained and wage subsidies are offered to you across 3 years!
In summary:
💰 Occupations on the Australian Apprenticeships Priority List are eligible for financial support from the government
💰 A wage subsidy of 10 per cent is provided to businesses in the first and second year, then 5 per cent in the third year
💰 Up to $5,000 in direct payments is handed to the apprentice across two years
